In Praise of Reason: lecture by Prof. Michael Lynch (University of Connecticut)

Prof. Michael Lynch will give a lecture touching on the main themes of his recently published book In Praise of Reason. 

 
Lecture abstract: 
What is the value of reason in politics? Can reason really matter or must we admit that all politics is emotional manipulation? I argue that reason does matter, and ignoring its importance threatens the very fabric of a liberal democratic society.

About Prof. Lynch:
Michael Lynch is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Connecticut. He is the author or editor of seven books, including Truth as One and Many, Truth in Context and True to Life. His most recent book, In Praise of Reason, defends the value of reason in politics.
