Dear UD and ASD Students,
Attached, please find the course enrollment guidelines for UD & ASD, and UIC-first course listings for UD majors. Please also pay attention to the following notices:
1. Enrollment for UIC-first courses for UD majors: 9:00 ~ 12:00, Friday, August 10th.
Only UD students are allowed to enroll for UIC-first courses for UD majors on that day.
Students are not allowed to enroll for non-UIC first courses on August 10th.
If a student enrolls for non UIC-first courses during this time, those courses will
be deleted after August 10th without any prior notice.
Returning students who applied for return during August 6(Mon.)~ August 9(Thur.) may enroll for UIC first courses for UD majors on August 10th.
2. Students entering their 8th semester should apply for or delay graduation for
February 2013 from July 30th, 2012 on the Yonsei Portal in order to register for courses.
3. Students who have taken the standardized language proficiency test should submit their scores on Freshman Orientation Day (August 31st). Please refer to the course enrollment guide page 2 for more details. For further questions, please contact Professor Helen Lee at helenlee@yonsei.ac.kr.
4. Underwood Division major declaration results will be updated on the Yonsei Portal as of September 3rd, 2012.
UD students will be accepted to the Underwood Division majors for which they will apply during the major application period (June 25~June 29) according to their admissions tracks.
Therefore, UD students may register for major courses based on their major declaration.
5. The number of Korean courses that can be counted toward major credits has gone up
from 3 to 4 starting from the 2011-2nd semester.
CLC, ECON, PSIR or LSBT majors can take courses taught in Korean and up to 4
courses (12 credits) can be counted toward fulfilling the credit requirement for
the major.
The regulation has applied to all UD students since the 2011-2nd semester.
6. Senior students who want to write a senior thesis should contact Professor Adler and submit an application form.
