Yonsei GSIS Bachelor & Master’s Accelerated Degree Program

1. Concept

The students admitted to the program will be able to pursue a master's degree upon completing their bachelor's degree without any entrance exam. The students can obtain both a Bachelor's and Master's degree within 5 years. (Bachelor 3.5 years + Master 1.5 years)

2. Entry Qualifications & Scholarship

A. Students of all undergraduate majors in Yonsei Sinchon campus are eligible

B. Students who have completed 4 ~ 6 semesters and whose cumulative GPA is over 3.3/4.3

C. Students who are recommended by a current professor of his/her department

D. Transfer students or students who have received an academic warning, cannot apply.

E. Admitted students will receive a scholarship according to their academic performance during their first 3 semesters in the Master's degree program

1	- Full tuition when undergraduate CGPA is 4.0 and above. - Half tuition when undergraduate CGPA is between 3.3 and under 4.0
2, 3	l Full time students who have earned at least 9 credits in the previous semester - Full tuition when the GPA is 4. 0 and above - Half tuition when the GPA is between 3.7 and under 4.0

3. Admission Schedule

A. Application period: August 16 (Thu), 9 a.m. ~ 17 (Fri), 5 p.m.

B. Announcement of results: August 31 (Fri), 5 p.m., by email

5. Academic affairs after admittance

A. Students who are admitted to the program can take up to 24 credits per semester and those 24 credits can include a maximum of 6 credits from GSIS. Students are required to obtain 12 credits from GSIS while still an undergraduate student. The credits earned from GSIS are not included in the total required credits to complete undergraduate work and the grades are not included in calculating students' GPA. The credits earned from GSIS will be transferred after the students enter the Master's degree program.

B. Students who are admitted to the program should maintain a minimum GPA of 3.3/4.3. Students can obtain their bachelor's degrees and start their master's degree program after completion of the 7th semester, if all the graduation requirements are fulfilled and cumulative GPA is above 3.75/4.3. If the students' cumulative GPA is under 3.75, attending 8th semester is required.

C. If a student withdraws from the program, the credits earned from GSIS cannot be transferred to the credits required in their undergraduate program.

D. If the students have taken undergraduate courses which are similar or the same in the contents as GSIS courses, up to 9 credits can be recognized as GSIS credits. Also, up to 6 GSIS credits can be earned from an internship during the time students are enrolled in GSIS.

2012-2학기 국제학대학원 학부-석사 연계과정 모집요강

1. 개념 및 목적

국제학대학원 학부-석사 연계과정에 합격한 학생은 추후 별도의 입학시험 없이 학부 졸업 후 국제학대학원에 진학하여 석사 학위를 취득할 수 있음. 학부 3.5년 + 대학원 1.5년 = 총 5년에 학사 및 석사 학위를 취득.

2. 대상 학과: 신촌캠퍼스 개설학부 전체

3. 모집인원: 연 10명 이내

4. 지원자격 및 장학금 특전

가. 4학기 ~ 6학기를 수료하고, 전체 평량평균이 3.3/4.3 이상이고, 학과 전임교수의 추천을 받은 자.

나. 일반편입, 학사편입 및 이에 준하는 자, 학사경고를 받은 자는 지원할 수 없음.

다. 학부-석사 연계과정에 입학한 학생에게는 '연계과정 장학금’을 석사과정 입학 후 성적에 따라 차등 지급함. 최대 지급학기는 석사과정 3학기.

5. 전형방법: 서류전형만으로 선발

마. 공인 영어성적 증명서 원본 1부(TOEFL, TOEIC, 또는 IELTS)

8. 학사운영

가. 연계과정에 진입한 학생은 학부 재학 중 학기당 최대 24학점까지 수강신청이 가능하며, 24학점 중에서 대학원 과목도 학기당 최대 6학점, 전체 최대 12학점까지 취득하여야 함. 단, 대학원 과목의 이수 학점은 학부과정 이수학점 및 성적에 포함되지 않으며 대학원 진학 후에 대학원 졸업 학점으로 인정됨.

나. 연계과정에 진입한 학생은 학부 재학 중 매 학기 평량평균 3.3/4.3 이상을 유지하여야 하며, 7학기까지의 평량평균이 3.75/4.3 이상이면 7학기 이수 후 졸업 및 대학원 입학(단, 3.3/4.3 이상 3.75/4.3 미만이면 조기졸업은 불가하며 8학기 이수 후 대학원 입학)

다. 연계과정 중도 포기자 및 학부 졸업 이수요건 미 충족자에 대한 후속조치

1) 대학원 취득 학점을 학부 취득학점으로 변경 요청하는 경우 허용하지 않음.

라. 7학기까지 학부 졸업에 필요한 졸업학점과 일부 대학원 학점을 이수할 수 있으며, 7번째 학기에 학부졸업신청서를 작성하여 교무처 학적과에 제출함.

1) 학부과정을 마친 후, 대학원에 진학하지 않고 학부만 졸업하고자 하는 자는 국제학대학원 교학과에 포기신청.

마. 대학원 진학 후에는 졸업에 필요한 학점을 이수하고 졸업논문(선택)을 작성함.

바. 학부에서 대학원 과목과 유사하거나 동일한 교과목을 수강한 경우 이를 대학원 학점으로 9학점까지 인정 및 대학원 진학 후 인턴십 수행 시 6학점까지 학점 인정하여 졸업이수학점 부담을 경감.
