Dear UIC Students, As you know, UIC students in their senior year have the option of completing a thesis project. This is a wonderful opportunity to pursue an advanced research project, and is especially recommended to those who intend to continue on to graduate study. Some majors, such as CLC,  allow you to do the thesis project  directly through the major, but it is also possible for students in all majors to do a thesis through  the common curriculum, either within or outside your major field of study. In the latter case, you will have to register for UIC 4801 SENIOR THESIS: AN INDEPENDENT STUDY.If you are considering this option, please read carefully the course description in the student handbook. Above all, you should keep in mind that you will be responsible for finding a primary adviser who will be willing to work with you. The faculty member should be a full-time professor at Yonsei.  You may choose to work with a professor from either the  common curriculum or the major curriculum. Before you sign up for UIC 4801,  you should obtain a formal commitment from the professor that you wish  to work with, and have him or her sign the attached form.  This form must be submitted to me by September 4th, 2012.   If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. with best wishes, Anthony Adler  Common Curriculum Chair Underwood International College   Senior_Thesis_Application_Form.docx(15.82 KBytes) download:27
