CCAP (Cross-Cultural Awareness Programme)
Recruiting Cultural Exchange Volunteer (CEV)
In this programme, foreign residents in Korea are invited to share their culture with Korean youths. They are typically asked to visit schools as a CEV and present their own culture to the Korean students in collaboration with a Korean Interpretation Volunteer (KIV). Anyone, regardless of age, sex, religion or country of origin, can participate in the programme as a volunteer. By involving themselves in this unique and exciting endeavour, all participants are able to deepen their understanding of each other and broaden their commitment to a culture of tolerance and mutual respect.

- To create a constructive partnership between Koreans and global citizen by fostering interaction

What are the Main Activities?
Regular class is the central part of CCAP activity. One CEV and one KIV visit a pre-arranged Korean School and conduct a culture class. Each school is scheduled to receive one CCAP class per month for six months of the year. (Spring Semester: April-June, Fall Semester: September-November)
Caravan is to provide opportunities to
schools who do not have regular contact with
foreign cultures due to their geographical
locations. The selected school will receive our
caravan team composed of CEVs, KIVs and CCAP
staff members, who will conduct two classes
during the weekend. The programme includes
homestay and cultural exchange classes.
Get-Together is planned to promote friendship
among CCAP participants, and it is arranged at a
different place each time Attending these event is a
good way to meet other participants who are actively
involved in CCAP.
CCAP forum/Annual Forum is to provide
the evaluation of programme with all CEVs, KIVs
and School teacher. It enables to share their
experience with others and suggest the better way
to lead this programme.
How to be involved in CCAP Programme?
In order to be CEV,
You need to be registered to our website
And come to orientation!!!
1. Go to our Website (
http://ccap.unesco.or.kr). Then, if you see on the LEFT side, you’ll see the “How to Join” button. Click on that.
2. As you are registering as a CEV, please click on “CEVs”
3. Click on “Member Join”
4. Choose one region (convenient location for you to teach the students).
5. Now, fill in your personal information and complete the registration. Please fill the registration form and click on next and put in your schedules, and then if you go on, you will be registered.
6. After Registration, you will get an email announce Orientation details.
7. Attending the orientation will be required.
