Medical School in Korea
Entrance Requirements

The requirements for entrance into medical school in Korea vary slightly depending on the school. However, each school follows the basic guidelines listed below:

1MEET (Medical Education Eligibility Test) score.

 Any one of the following:
  1. TOEFL score
  2. TOEIC score
  3. TEPS score

 Courses:
The course requirements vary but you must satisfy a minimal number of basic science credits to be eligible. For example, Yonsei Medical School requires 9 credits of basic science selected from biology, chemistry, physics, and mathematics. Students must choose courses from three of these four subject areas and must take at least three units from each. For example, an acceptable set of courses would include 3 units of biology, 3 units of chemistry, and 3 units of mathematics.

2 letters of recommendation:
The number of letters required may vary from school to school but both Yonsei Medical School and Seoul National University Medical School require 2 letters of recommendation.

The MEET (Medical Education Eligibility Test)

The official website of the MEET exam is: http://www.mdeet.org There is only one MEET exam date per year. The exam is given on the last Saturday or Sunday of August.
