Non-Tenure Track Teaching Position in Energy & Environmental Science and Engineering-Related Fields

The Underwood International College (UIC) of Yonsei University invites applications for a full time non-tenure track faculty position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor of Integrated Science and Engineering Division to teach at the International Campus in Songdo, Incheon, located within the greater Seoul metropolitan region in South Korea.

 

We are particularly interested in those with strong academic backgrounds and teaching interest in Energy and Environmental science-related fields including renewable energy, global climate change, or water resources.

                        

We welcome applications with excellent level of English proficiency, who are holding Ph.D. degree in any related academic field. We expect successful candidates will teach and mentor students in English as a first language. We are looking for candidates with strong communication skills with experiences with college-level teaching. Particularly, research experiences and teaching interest with global perspectives are preferred. Potential courses that the successful candidate will teach may include Energy Engineering, Environmental Science, Global Climate Change, Water Resources and other related courses. We expect the candidate will develop new courses in conjunction with other majors of ISED focusing on biological sciences and nano-technology.

 

The appointment will begin from March 2nd, 2018. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in English. Compensation includes competitive salary, health insurance and other benefits. 2.       A USB containing the Ph.D. Dissertation
3.       2x List of publications
           * Must follow the University’s designated form.
           * Major publications (up to three) should be written below “Main Achievements”.

5.       Two recommendation letters (from two or more professors (professionals) in the same program or field 
          * The university in which the applicant is applying to and department must be clearly indicated with the full name of the applicant.

           * Research work that is expected to be published is acceptable, if provided together with documentary evidence.

•  About Integrated Science and Engineering Division

The Integrated Science and Engineering Division (ISED) provides an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to understanding and applying bio-science, nano-technology and energy and environmental engineering. ISED students will explore interactions between bio-science, nano-science and technology, bio and chemical engineering, integrated, fusion technology and the health care industry. The program is well-suited for students who wish to acquire a well-balanced, multidisciplinary perspective, which blends the practical and scientific frameworks necessary for becoming tomorrow’s leaders of industry.
