Tenure Track Position in Integrated Science and Engineering Division (ISED),

Underwood International College, Yonsei University, South Korea

 

The Underwood International College (UIC) of Yonsei University invites applications for a full time tenure track faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor of Integrated Science and Engineering Division to teach and research at the International Campus in Songdo, Incheon, located within the greater Seoul metropolitan region in South Korea.

 

We are particularly interested in those with strong teaching, professional, and research experience in one or more of the following four majors. One position is offered for each major.

 

? Bio-convergence

- Neuropharmacology

- Biopharmaceutical development

? Energy Science and Engineering

- Fossil fuel energy technology

- Renewable energy systems

- Clean coal/shale gas technology

? Environmental Science and Engineering

- GHG reduction and management technology

- Global water resource technology

- Ecosystem-based environmental technology

? Nano-Science and Engineering: all nano-related areas

 

We welcome applications from non-Korean citizens, as well as from Korean citizens with native-level ability of English proficiency. (those with all overseas secondary education background preferred)

 

The appointment will begin from March 1st, 2016. Teaching responsibilities are 6 credit-hours (2 classes) per semester and the successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in English. Compensation includes competitive salary, health insurance and other benefits.  Additionally, non-Korean citizens are eligible for fully subsidized housing (for up to 6 years), and a generous relocation and start-up package.

About Integrated Social Science Division

The Integrated Science and Engineering Division (ISED) provides an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to understanding and applying the bio-science, nao-technology and energy and environmental engineering. ISED students will explore interactions between bio-science, nano-science and technology, bio and chemical engineering, integrated, fusion technology and health care industry. The program is well-suited for students who wish to acquire a well-balanced, multidisciplinary perspective, which blends the practical and scientific frameworks necessary for becoming tomorrow’s leaders of industry.
