Profile

Dr. Caret was born in Baltimore, Maryland where he attended art school and was first exposed to Camus and Laozi. He was fortuitous enough to live in northern California for some time, where he earned his B.A. from the vibrant and energetic San Jose State University department of philosophy. Caret discovered his passion for formal logic during a first-year graduate seminar at the University of Connecticut taught by his future mentor Jc Beall. After submitting his dissertation, Caret accepted a postdoctoral fellowship to the University of St Andrews where he spent three years as a member of Stephen Read's?Foundations of Logical Consequence project. Dr. Caret is pleased to be a part of Underwood International College and excited to see what the future will bring.
