Profile

Upon completing his education at Yonsei University, Professor Rhyu was a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Public Policy at Samsung Economic Research Institute, the think-tank arm of Samsung.
He has served and is currently serving as a committee member in several ministry departments including the Presidential Committee on Northeast Asian Business, Prime Minister’s Committee for Anti-Corruption Policy, and Committee on Privatization. Professor Rhyu’s specialization lies in East Asian political economy and network capitalism, Korean economic institutions, and comparative political economy between Japan and Korea. He is currently serving as the Director of the Kim Dae-jung Presidential Library.
