8. General Notes

(i) For students in University-College, courses completed in the winter session will be recognized. The grades will also be added to cumulative GPA once it is approved as a major course. (However, if the student has taken the course before, it will be treated as a course repeat, and the grades from previous round will be counted towards GPA when it is approved as a major course.)

(ii) Students who wish to register for Internship Credit System Program (undergraduates, 1 credit) should contact Scholarship and Employment Team of Office of Student Affairs and Services (02-2123-6675)

(iii)  Winter session can only be taken on one campus among Seoul (International) Campus, Wonju Campus or Exchange University (If a student applies for multiple locations, all will be canceled)

(iv) Course Repeat

- Common Curriculum courses (course category: CC) may not be repeated unless a student received ‘F’ for the course.

- Students cannot re-take courses taken in the previous semester in the winter session (E.g. a course taken in 2017 semester 2 cannot be retaken in this winter session.)

- The highest score for a repeated course is A0(4.0) i.e. F~A0

- Students admitted in years 2005~2007 can repeat a course which scored C+ or below (Number of course repeat allowed – Students admitted in 2005: 4 times, Students admitted in 2006: 3 times, Students admitted in 2007: 2 times.)  Students can repeat a course regardless of their previous grades and may be awarded A+.

- From 2012 semester 2, the default option in course enrollment is “not to use number of course repeat allowed.” Due to this reason, students can only be awarded grades up to A0. If students want to use their “number of course repeat allowed” to obtain A+, they can change the option in “Enrollment Status” section after completing the course enrollment; Yonsei Portal > Undergraduate Course Enrollment > sign-in > Enrolment Status > Course Repeat > select to use “number of course repeat allowed”

(Students must check FAQ because the regulations for course repeat varies according to the year of admission)

If you have any questions, contact Academic Support Team of Office of Academic Affairs (02-2123-2097)

* All regulations and period apply to both Seoul & International campus evenly.
