Mar 23, 2012  |  Read: 5,239
Dear Students,

Please find the guidelines on course withdrawal as below:

COURSE WITHDRAWAL

When: 2012. 3. 28 (Wed) 09:00 ~ 3. 30 (Fri) 23:59

How: Students withdraw from courses through the Yonsei Portal System

(http://portal.yonsei.ac.kr -> Academic Information System -> Academic Management System (Degree Programs) -> Curriculum/Course Enrollment -> Course Withdrawal -> Apply for Withdrawal)

1. When a student withdraws from a course, (s)he may not register for any other course in its place.

2. Students must be registered for at least one credit after the withdrawal becomes effective.

3. Withdrawn courses will be exempt from evaluation.

4. Please be advised that the withdrawn courses will not disappear from the student's personal class schedule table.

5. From the 2009 academic year, a ‘W’ indicating a withdrawn course will not appear on the transcript.

6. For the courses withdrawn in and before 2008, a ‘W’ will not be removed from the transcript even if students repeat those courses.

7. Students with course withdrawals are ineligible to apply for extra credits in the next semester or for academic honor roll though their GPA may meet the requirements.

8. After withdrawing from a course during the designated period, students should verify that the course has indeed been withdrawn by checking the course enrollment list on the Portal system.

9. To apply for a university scholarship for the following semester, students are required to complete at least 12 credits.

10. The minimum credit-hour requirement for academic honor roll is 15 credit hours.
