February 2019 Commencement
 

Congratulations on your graduation! Please come to celebrate your achievement of becoming a Yonsei alumnus. The details for the commencement ceremony are as follows:

▣ Commencement Chapel

a. Date & Time: Sunday, February 24^th, 3 pm 
b. Venue: Luce Chapel: Attire: Graduation Gown

*After the chapel, photo time with President Kim and reception will be prepared.

▣Commencement Ceremony

a. Date & Time: Monday, February 25^th, 2 pm

b. Venue: Daewoo Hall B130 (각당헌)

▣ Students who are present without RSVP will not be able to go up to the stage to receive your diploma.

 1. Graduation Gown and Diploma Cap Distribution

A.         Students who have unreturned books to the library must return the books and receive a confirmation letter from the library in order to borrow the academic attire.

B.       The academic attire will be distributed at Room 203 of Daewoo Annex Hall for 3 days – from Wednesday, February 20^th through Friday, February 22^nd – from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. Please show your “ID Card” and “Proof of Payment (graduation gown washing and storage fee)” to collect the cap and the gown. If someone else is picking up for you, he or she has to bring YOUR “ID card” and “Proof of Payment.” You can also pick up your attire on the day of the ceremony (February 25^th) from 9:30 am through 11:00 am at Room 203 of Daewoo Annex Hall.

C. In order to borrow your academic attire, you have to show you ID card and submit the Confirmation for No unreturned Books from the library and the Questionnaire(attached) which contains status after graduation.

D.  In order to borrow the academic attire, you must submit Questionnaire (attached) which contains your status after graduation to uic.career@yonsei.ac.kr no later than Tuesday, February 19th.  You will not be able to pick up your academic attire without completing the questionnaire.

2. Graduation Gown Washing and Storage Fee

In order to store the graduation gown and pass it on to the juniors, we are asking for washing and storage fee as follows:

Portal (http://portal.yonsei.ac.kr) → LOGIN → Academic Information System → Academic Management System → Student Record → 학위가운대여(Pay gown washing and storage fee) → 고지서출력 → Check individual virtual account → Make payment

3. Graduation Album Distribution

The Graduation Album will be distributed at 2F lobby of the Student Union Building for 3 days- from Wednesday, February 20^th through Friday, February 22^nd – from 9:30 am through 4:30 pm. You have to show your ID card to receive your year book. If someone else is picking up for you, he or she has to bring YOUR ID card.

4. Entrance to the Ceremony Hall

All the graduates must enter the auditorium by 1:20 pm on the day of the Commencement with staff assistance. Please follow the instructions of the administrator when you arrive at Daewoo Hall B130(각당헌). All graduates must be seated before the ceremony.

5. Graduation Ceremony Procedures

- The graduates will be called one by one to the stage, and will be conferred with a diploma case. The actual diploma and the ID card will be given to you by the UIC Office after the ceremony when you return your gown and cap.

6. Returning the caps and gowns

- Please return them by 4 pm to Room 203 of Daewoo Annex Hall on the day of the Commencement to pick up your diploma.

7. Instructions for students not attending the ceremony

  If you are not able to attend the ceremony, pick up your diploma from the UIC Office (Room 301, Daewoo Annex Hall) within a month from the day of Commencement. If someone else is picking up for you, please make sure he or she brings YOUR ID card. If you do not submit the questionnaire via email or in a printed form, you will not be able to receive your diploma.

8. Others

- Public transportation is recommended as the campus will be crowded on the day of the Commencement.
