Global Innovation Tour, Geneva and Denmark

Supported by Social Impact Initiative for Global Creative Talent

 

 

About Global Innovation Tour

Yonsei Center for Social Innovation is proud to present its Global Innovation Tour at Geneva [track 1] and Denmark [track 2]. Students interested in social innovation and global entrepreneurship [track 1] and in having startup experience [track 2] are strongly encouraged to apply.

 

[Track 1]

This tour will take place in Geneva, a global city, a financial center, and worldwide center for diplomacy. Geneva is the city that hosts the highest number of international organizations in the world. Tentative schedule is designed to provide training in skills such as communications, leadership, creativity, problem-solving as well as academic knowledge. The track 1 program can be integrated into a college course, seminal or capstone. Students will get a chance to promote the effective participation of university students in the UN’s work, specifically in the areas of entrepreneurship.

 

[Track 2]

This tour will take place in Aarhus and Copenhagen, Denmark. Tentative schedule includes visits to Aarhus University for Entrepreneurship workshop and Copenhagen School of Entrepreneur for life science, eco system and student startup hub.

 

Eligibility

The program is open to all students in Techno-Art Division and Integrated Social Sciences Division. Students who are in their final semesters are not eligible to apply.

 

Application

One of the best parts of our tour is that much of the costs of the program are subsidized by Social Impact Initiative for Global Creative Talent.

Please send your resume and attached application form to ycsi_ck@yonsei.ac.kr by May 30th. Results will be individually notified by June 7th.

*Expected number of participants for [track 1] is about 18 students, and for [track 2] is about 6~8 students.

*A startup experience is required to apply for [Track 2].

*Delegation costs will be announced later.

 

Selection Criteria

The applicant should have strong interest in social innovation and entrepreneurship. Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team are also crucial.

 

Approximate dates

*All participants should attend two mandatory orientations before the tour. 

*Visit will be made August 6th ~ 10th [Track 1] and 13th ~ 18th [Track 2].
