Eligibility and Premiums
○ Eligibility: International Student (D-2), General trainee (D-4)
○ Date of acquisition: Effective date of health insurance coverage - 1 March 2021
○ Premium: Only 30% is charged due to a reduction of 70% of the average premium
Insurance Premium Receipt and Billing Address
○ Fee: KRW 43,490 ⇒ April - KRW 39,540 ⊕ March - one-time fee of KRW 3,950
※ The fee may vary if the annual income exceeds 3.5 million won and wealth exceeds 135 million won.
○ Billing address: community center, immigration office, office for foreign residents, etc.
○ Payment method: automatic transfer, virtual account payment, receipt of insurance premium, etc.
※ Branch offices and service centers for foreigners accept debit card deposits only; financial institutions accept cash
Premium Receipt Dates and Restrictions of Benefits
○ 10 March 2021 – Email and mobile bills sent
○ 12 March 2021 – Paper bills by regular mail sent
○ 23 March 2021 19:00 – Bill for automatic transfers of April 2021 sent
○ 25 March 2021 – Due date for insurance premiums of April 2021 by automatic transfer
○ 26 March 2021 18:00 – Receipt of automatic transfer payment for April 2021 included
○ 1 April 2021 – restriction of benefits for premium defaulters
Application of Automatic Transfers and Electronic Receipts
○ Eligibility: person liable to pay
○ Automatic Transfer: bank account (KRW 200 cutback), credit card ( KRW 200 cutback), etc.
○ Electronic Bill: email bill (KRW 200 cutback), mobile bill, etc.
○ Application method: in-person visits, telephone (customer service*), fax (civil service center for foreigners and branch offices), etc.

※ Non-eligible individuals should apply through the service center for foreigners; to apply for automatic transfers and e-receipts, visit a branch office.
