[Recruiting] MSR center tutor

[UIC Math & Science Resource Center Tutor Recruitment]

UIC Math & Science Resource (MSR) Center provides support to students at all levels and in all forms and modes in order for them to build and develop important math and science skills, and better navigate their academic life at UIC.

 

UIC MSR Center is looking for passionate students with exceptional science and math skills to help younger students. All candidates must submit an application and sit through an interview with the director of the MSR Center.

  1. Qualification: UIC students or Yonsei (under)graduate students
  2. Working period: From the first day of class until the succeeding holiday (48 hours in total)
  3. Working hours: 3 hours per week
  4. Responsibilities:Students with a GPA of 4.0 and higher for the courses they apply for will be given preference.
    1. attend meetings with the Director to report and address students’ progress and needs, and prepare workshop resources (6 hours or training & 6 hours of staff meetings)
    2. Hold sessions for at least 3 hours per week
  5. Students with a GPA of 4.0 and higher for the courses they apply for will be given preference
  6. Tutors will be granted a scholarship of 1,500,000 won per semester.

How to apply:

Fill out the attached Tutor application form and submit to uic_ise@yonsei.ac.kr by May 22nd , Wednesday.

 

* The application form must be saved as "[MSR Center Tutor] your name_student ID number".

**E-mail must be titled “2019 MSR Center Tutor Application (your name)”

*** Candidates subject to interview will be notified individually.
