2018-1 Student Health Mutual-aid Association Additional (Temporary) Registration

 

 1. Who
a) Students who did not selectively pay their student health mutual-aid association fees (includes freshmen, transfer, exceeding semester students of all undergraduate and graduate students)
b) Certain graduate school students who were ineligible to selectively pay their student health mutual-aid association fees
c) Unregistered undergraduate and graduate students (those on leave) of each college
d) Students on leave who have had their tuition fully refunded (excluding Shinchon medical, dentistry, nursing and Wonju medical students)
e) Exchange, visiting, GIP, SAP (only outgoing) students of each college and graduate school

 

2. Registration period: 2018. 3. 2 ~ 3. 30 (No registration possible after the period is over)

 

3. Fee: 15,000 won (Only cash accepted, no card accepted, no refunds, paying on behalf accepted)


4. On-site registration:

Please visit the student health mutual-aid association office with your student ID card and fee (※ Shinchon·International: Shinchon Campus Student Union Room 206/ Wonju: Meji Campus Student Union Room 212-1)

※ Other accepted documents in the case of not having Student ID card: 

Certificate of Enrollment, Certificate of Leave, Certificate of Tuition Payment

 

※ If the Student ID is not sent, the registration will be delayed as personal identification is not possible

 

6. Office Hours: 09:00~17:00(Mon~Fri) / Lunch: 12:00~13:00

 The student health mutual-aid association fee were also refunded for students on leave who have had their tuition fully refunded. Thus, they must register additionally in order to have their medical fees incurred during their respective semesters deducted.

 

Shinchon medical, dentistry, nursing and Wonju medical students who have

selectively paid their student health mutual-aid association fees but have had their tuition partially or fully refunded are not eligible for the refund of their student health mutual-aid association fees. Thus, they do not need to register additionally and receive their deductions.

 

 

 

 

 About Student Health Mutual-Aid Association (Summary)

 
1. Student Health Mutual-Aid Association

Managed by National Health Insurance, students who register (15,000 won/semester) will receive partial refunds on their incurring medical fees for their visits to hospitals and medicine costs. Their visits to the school health (care) centers will be funded 90% (via discounts at the centers) Graduates, suspended, completed students cannot register. Graduate students on their research semester can register.

 

2. Deduction Process

 After visiting a hospital or a pharmacy →  Receive the invoice·receipt of the incurred medical fee and medicine fee →  Bring your Student ID →  Confirm your own Woori Bank account number →  Register at the student health mutual-aid association office →  Will be transferred the coming Friday of registration.

※ Wonju medical students studying at Ilsan Campus may use the receipt box in front of the medical school student council. We ask International Campus students to visit or mail their registrations.

 

3. Receipt deadline and distinguishing semesters

Registration possible only until the next semester of the hospital visit. It is best that you register immediately upon visit. Please make sure to not miss the deadline.

Semester: 1st- 3.1~8.31 / 2nd- 9.1~2.28(9) of the following year

 Medical fees that incurred during the holidays are also subject for deduction. For visits that took place at the beginning of the semester, please register approximately 20 days after commencement.

 

4. International students who are not under National Health Insurance

Use designated hospitals (Shinchon: Seran Hospital, Dongshin Hospital, Shinchon Yonsei Hospital, Kim Sung Jun otolaryngologist/International: Nazareth International Hospital/Wonju: Wonju Severance Christian Hospital) (Other hospitals are not subject for deduction) and show your Student ID to the administration, request 100% insurance fee, pay incurring fees, receive the ‘invoice·recepit’ and bring your Student ID and account number.

 

※ International students who wish to register the National Health Insurance may visit the local branch with their passports/certificate of alien registration.

* CT,   MRI fees   are calculated by clinic rates (외래기준)

* 100% refund     may not be possible if meals are included

※ Ultrasounds, health medical   examination, vaccination, orthodontic treatment, plastic surgery, traffic   accidents and other treatments that are not covered by the National Health   Insurance are not deducted.

※ Fees incurring  at community health centers:
    Full deduction for total fee below 12,000 won
   Exceeding 12,000won: 15% after being covered by National Health Insurance.  

※ Patients that are subject to   medical fee, low income bracket or calculation exemption, will only pay the   amount subject to individual payment. (fixed individual payment amount or   5~10%)

※ Incurring medicine fees for   non-medical patients are is subject to 15% of the pharmaceutical spending 

※ International students that   are not covered by the National Health Insurance are subject to pay full fees   even if it is processed with insurance coverage. They must pay for everything   except for the deduction.

※ Deduction will   not exceed the individual payment amount 

※ Register with the receipt   from the actual examination day.

※ Deduction limit   per semester: 1,000,000 won (ambulatory care + hospitalization) 

※ 1,000,000won will be given   in the case of death.

Required   documents:

Copy of student   ID, certificate of death, certificate of family relations and account number   of one family member

※ Students can receive   duplicated benefits as this does not relate to private insurance that students   may hold.
