A Guide on the Public Supply of COVID-19 Masks for Foreign Students in Korea
To prevent further spread of COVID-19, the Korean Government has allowed foreign students, who have stayed in the country for a prolonged period but have not been enrolled in the National Health Insurance, to purchase from the public mask supply. Details on this decision are as follows:
- Effective Date: 2020.4.20. (Mon)
- Subject: Foreign students (that have been registered as foreigners) *Those not insured by the National Health Insurance are able to purchase
- Purchase Method: Once a week, Two masks per person (still following the Five-part Public Mask System) *A Five-part System according to the Year of Birth — ex) Monday is for those born in the year that ends with digits 1 or 6
- Required Documents: Alien Registration Card
- Purchase Location(s): Pharmacies (nationwide)
