Guide for second semester application to Dormitory 2018


1. Eligibility and Selection Method

A. Eligibility (Must meet all the requirements) - The exclusion of examination students
1-1) - 2018-2st Semester General and special graduate students of Sinchon Campus(Grade 2.0/4.3 and above)
         - 2018-2st Semester undergraduate students of Sinchon Campus (Grade 1.7/4.3 and above)
         - 2018-2st Semester preparation to return to Sinchon Campus (Grade 2018-1)The Grade are as above. (undergraduate : 1.7/4.3 and   
            above) ( graduate students : 2.0/4.3 and above)

* In case of leave of absence students Just before Semester Grade

1-2) 2018-2st Semester Freshman (General and special graduate students of Sinchon Campus)
2) Local (outside of Seoul), Overseas Korean : based on the parents’ residence and International      students.

B. Selection : Computerized Random Selection

C. Important Notice

1) Law school students and Regular graduate school’s law major students can only apply for Buphyeon.

2) Students of medical institutions (medical, health, dental, applied life sciences, nursing, etc.) should refer to the university's website for dormitory information.

3) Wonju Campus students are not available to apply for Sinchon Campus dormitories. Those students must apply to dormitories in their campus.

4) Those with cumulative penalty points of 16 points or more at International(Songdo)Campus and forced resignation from Sinchon Campus can not apply to join the dormitory

 5) Students who have been selected for the 2018-1 semester and have not checked - out during the semester are not eligible for new applications. But please check the extension registration manual.

6) if you are a student who only lives during summer vacation, you should read this notice and apply for a dormitory for the second semester.

3. How to Apply (Double-support is not available between dormitories on the Sinchon campus)

A. On-line Application Period : 26(Thu) July 2018 10:00 ~ 27(Thu) July 23:00

B. How to apply : Complete online application form via the pop-up page of Housing

website(http://web.yonsei.ac.kr/housing)

C. Non applicant and waiting list application

: The notice will be posted at the middle August 2018. The waiting list will fill the vacancy

frequently.

 

4. Required Documents - ( If you don't turn in the Documents, you'll be dropped )

A. How to submit : Visit the Housing office during office hour or send by registered mail.

B. Submission period : ~ 27(Fri) July 2018

The documents arrived by the deadline only can be effective.

C. Residence related documents

 

※ Notes

1) When submitting, please write down the student’s name & student’s ID number

in the upper-left corner of each document

2) The documents should be submitted as the originals

3) Hide the personal information of the family members such as ID card number.

4) All documents submitted must have been published with a month to be valid.

(Issued after 26 June 2018)

5) Missing documents or false information will result in failure to register.

a. As domestic residents, in case of that parents and students are in the same place

: A certificate of resident registration

b.  In case of that father and mother’s address is differ

: A certificate of resident registration of father, a certificate of resident registration of mother, a certificate of resident registration of student and a certificate of family relations

c. In case of that the student is eligible for a single parent

: A certificate of resident registration of shared housing parent and a certificate of resident registration of student and a certificate of family relations

d. In case of a foreign resident, submit a copy of Proof of foreign residence of student and the parents

- For ‘Proof of foreign residence’ issuance, please contact Ministry of Foreign Affairs (02-2100-2114).

e. In case parents live abroad and student in Korea, submit a copy of proof of foreign residence

for parents and a copy of proof of residence for student and a certificate of family relations.

f. In case of foreigners : No separate submission (check if foreigners)

g. In case of a handicapped student, submit a copy of Proof of disabled certificate of student / Priority selection when meeting eligibility

 

5. Result Update : 6(Mon) August 2018 17:00 / Housing office homepage(http://web.yonsei.ac.kr/housing)

 

6. Health Inspection

- The students selected as the residents must have health inspection (pectoral X gland)

and then submit the health diagnosis form on the day of their check-in.

- If you avoid the health inspection or are found to be ineligible for community life,

we will cancel your housing admission. Failure to submit the health diagnosis form on the

check-in day will result in demerits on your record.

* The available period of health certificate : within 2 month from a date of issue.

(Only inspection results after July 1 2018 are valid )

-You can not submit a foreign certificate that has not been notarized, so please use your

local medical institution.

 

7. Payment period : 6(Mon) August 2018 ~ 8(Wed) August 2018

8. Check-in date : 1(Sat) September 2018 10:00 ~ 18:00

9. 2018 2st semester residence period : 1(Sat) September 2018 10:00 ~ 22(Fri) December 2018 12:00
