UIC Microsoft Korea Bridge Program Internship

UIC MS Bridge program is designed to help students have practical work experience while attaining credits at the same time. Selected students will have an opportunity to do full-time paid internship at Microsoft Korea while simultaneously meeting the semester quota requirement with up to 12 credits. If they want to extend their intern period, they can work for 10 months at most. Internship will start around the middle of January. Students who wish to participate must enroll in the 2015 spring semester. If you wish to apply, please send your cover letter and resume to uic_students@yonsei.ac.kr by December 26. Key Responsibilities

?   Select, curate, aggregate and create compelling online content experiences which will engage our audience and help meet Page Views

?   Handle breaking news quickly and professionally, and program content creatively to cover breaking news scenarios

?   Follow what is trending, and be up on the latest news, not only within one vertical, but across multiple channels

?   Must be able to generate content ideas that will engage our audience but also drive towards Page View; Localize and/or translate global content when necessary

?   Successfully utilize social media as an additional entry point for channel content

Technical/Functional Skills

?   Highly proficient in Microsoft Office

?   Strong eye for detail and design

?   Excellent knowledge of Social Media

?   Ability to capture the essence of storytelling and digital curation

?   Photoshop skills is a plus

Personal Attributes/Interpersonal Skills

?   Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

?   Very strong team player with ability to work on own initiative

?   Highly organized with attention to detail

?   Ability to remain calm under pressure

?   Self-motivated, entrepreneurial and resourceful

Daily Execution/Hands on Editorial

?   Work under extremely tight daily deadlines and changing priorities

?   Be able to react quickly and creatively to produce engaging up to the minute content

?   Take an active part in content creation, to enable the channel to be a content creator as well as user

?   Take on hands on daily editorial tasks, as team availability dictates:  edit daily content, write impactful headlines etc

?   Select, crop, treat and post compelling photographs and graphics
