Guidelines for the 2024-1 Yonsei University Graduate School Innovation Outstanding Paper Contest

1. Purpose: To foster a solid academic culture by selecting and awarding excellent papers of graduate students, thereby enhancing their research motivation

2. Subject:

① [Current Students] Academic Papers published within March 1, 2023  - March 1, 2024.
※ Papers published after March 2, 2024, are not eligible (Papers published after March 1, 2024, should apply in the 2024-2 semester).
※ Online publication dates are accepted (However, papers under review or scheduled for publication are not eligible).
※ The applicant must be the first author or corresponding author of the paper.
※ Only papers published during the current degree program are eligible.
※ Students who have already received the Yonsei University Graduate School Innovation Outstanding Paper Award are not eligible to apply with the same paper (You cannot win for the same paper if you intend to apply after graduation for the best thesis award).

② [Graduates] Thesis submitted for graduation in August 2023 or February 2024.
※ Only academic papers related to the student's major field are eligible.

3. Selection Categories:

① Department Outstanding Paper Award
② Encouragement Award
-  Each department selects no more than one excellent paper and up to three encouragement awards through evaluation.
※ If a department (or college) determines there are no outstanding papers, they are not obliged to make a recommendation.

 4. Eligibility:

1. Current student of Yonsei Graduate School
2. Graduates of Yonsei Graduate School (graduated in August 2023 or February 2024)

 5. Submission Documents: ②~⑦

1)      Student Submission Documents (Title: 24-1 Graduate School Outstanding Paper Contest_Name, Student ID)

 6. Schedule:

1. Submission: 2024. 4. 1.(Mon) ~ 4. 15.(Mon)
2. Evaluation: 2024. 4. 16.(Tues) ~ 4. 30.(Tues)
3. Announcement: mid-June 2024.

 7. Award Ceremony: Early July 2024

• Department Outstanding Paper Award - Certificate and prize money awarded, recognition in the academic portal
• Encouragement Award – Certificate awarded
