February 2017 Commencement
 

Congratulations on your graduation! Please come to celebrate your achievement of becoming a Yonsei alumnus. The instructions for the commencement ceremony are as follows:

a. Date & Time: Monday, February 27^th, 2 pm
b. Venue: Luce Chapel

▣ Students who are present without RSVP will not be able to go up to the stage to receive your diploma.

1. Distribution of caps and gowns

I.         Students who have unreturned books to the library must return the books and receive a confirmation letter from the library in order to borrow the academic attire.

II.       The academic attire will be distributed at Room 403 of the New Millennium Hall for 3 days – from Wednesday, February 22th through Friday, February 24th – from 9:30am to 4:30pm. Please show your identification to collect the cap and the gown. If someone else is picking up for you, he or she has to bring YOUR ID card. You can also pick up your attire on the day of the ceremony (February 27^th) from 9:30 am through 11:00 am at Room 403 of the New Millennium Hall.

III.    In order to borrow your academic attire, you have to submit the confirmation for no unreturned books from the library, your ID card, and the questionnaire which contains status after graduation.

IV.     Your ID card will be returned to you when you return the academic attire.

2. Year Book Distribution

The year books will be distributed at Room 204 of the Student Union Building for 3 days- from Wednesday, February 22th through Friday, February 24th – from 9:30am through 4:30pm. You have to show your ID card to receive your year book. If someone else is picking up for you, he or she has to bring YOUR ID card.

3. Submitting the Questionnaire for UIC February 2017 Commencement

- Please fill out the questionnaire (either in Korean or English) attached to your email sent from the UIC office before picking up your cap and gown. You will not be able to pick up your academic attire without completing the questionnaire! Please make sure to send the completed form to uic.career@yonsei.ac.kr by Thursday, February 16^th.

* Make sure the email is titled: 2017 commencement questionnaire

* For those who are planning to attend an overseas graduate school, please attach a scanned copy of your admission letter to your email along with the questionnaire. This process is part of the statistical research done by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and your information will not be used for any other purposes.

4. Entrance to the Ceremony Hall

- All the graduates must enter the chapel by 1:30 PM on the day of the Commencement. Please follow the instructions of the administrator when you arrive at the Luce Chapel. All graduates must be seated before the ceremony.

5. Graduation Ceremony Procedures

- The graduates will be called one by one to the stage, and will be conferred with a diploma case. The actual diploma and the ID card will be given to you by the UIC Office after the ceremony when you return your gown and cap.

6. Returning the caps and gowns

- Please return them by 4PM to Room 403 of the New Millennium Hall on the day of the Commencement to pick up your diploma.

7. Instructions for students not attending the ceremony

  If you are not able to attend the ceremony, pick up your diploma from the UIC Office (NMH 401) within a month from the date of Commencement. If someone else is picking up for you, please make sure he or she brings YOUR ID card. If you do not submit the questionnaire via email or in a printed form, you will not be able to receive your diploma.

8. Notes

- Public transportation is recommended as the campus will be crowded on the day of Commencement.
