GSIS Development Cooperation Course open to UIC students

In the fall semester, the second course on International Development Cooperation and Sustainable Development will be offered at GSIS, through funding from KOICA and support from the Institute of Global Engagement and Empowerment at Yonsei University.

The course aims to provide real world examples regarding sustainable development, building upon the background to issues and institutions of development cooperation from previous classes. Students will learn about the past and current strategies of diverse actors in the aid industry. Discussions will involve debates about the issues in sustainable development to development cooperation has or has not played a significant role in advancing the livelihoods of the people living in developing countries.

Some of the students from this class will have an opportunity to visit a development field setting, hosted by a local NGO.

Third or fourth-year UIC students are welcome to take the GSIS course. For Sustainable Development and Cooperation major students, the course will count as a ME.

To take this course, please come to the first day of class. Then, you can submit  the application form at the Registrar within the Office of Academic Affairs (교무처 학사지원팀) for official approval.
