YONSEI-CMC SUMMER LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

 

1. CMC?

Located in Claremont in California, Claremont McKenne College provides a high quality liberal education centered curriculum, and is a renowned liberal arts college with a strong finance and economics program

2. About the Program

The Yonsei Business School and CMC collaborative program is a Business Administration major elective (Unit 3000, 6 credits) providing students with lectures, special lectures, domestic field trips as well as visit to Hong Kong. It is a residentialprogram where students will have the opportunity to live together with CMC students and to network internationally.

 

3. Program Details

  • Duration: 2017. 6. 26. (Mon) – 8.5. (Sat)  <6 weeks, cannot apply together with a summer course subject>
  • Venue: Yonsei University, Field Trips and Hong Kong
  • Participants: 20 (10 Yonsei University undergraduates, 10 CMC undergraduate students)
  • Lecturers: Yonsei University Business School faculty, CMC faculty and guest speakers
  • Activities: Lectures, Special Lectures, Company visits, cultural experience
  • Credits: 6 credits (3000 unit Business Administration major elective)
                      BIZ 3186 Understanding the Business Environment in Asia: Theory (3 credits)
                     
    BIZ 3187 Understanding the Business Environment in Asia: Practice (3 credits)
  • Accommodation: SK Global House double room, students from the two schools will be roommates
  • Cost: 2,500,000 won
    1)  Summer Course tuition: approximately 660,000 won (approximate)
    2)  Dormitory: 960,000 won
    3)  Hong Kong field trip (mid July) 800,000 won (return flight, accommodation, food)

4. Scholarships Available

             Up to 2,500,000 won available *Document screening and an interview will be conducted

 
5. Participants:
10 (5 male, 5 female students)

 
6. Eligibility: Freshmen-Seniors (Excluding August expected graduates),
                              must have taken Introduction to Economics/Principles of Economics (required electives)

7. Application

1)     Application form (attached)

2)     Valid Official English Proficiency Test score (TOEFL, TOEIC etc)

3)     Academic Record up to the previous semester (2017 students N/A)

4)     Parents’ Health insurance documents (for Scholarship applicants)

-       Proof of Payment (2017.1~3/issued by: National Health Insurance Corporation)
