About the Workshop
The Yonsei Social IoT Workshop is a 5-day intensive workshop that provides students with an opportunity to plan, design, and implement solutions to social challenges using IoT. Students will identify a social issue of their choice, brainstorm possible ideas, design and create a business model (possibly, a prototype) of the proposed solution. Hosted by the Yonsei Center for Social Innovation and Underwood International College, the workshop is consisted of lectures, working sessions and final pitch day.
*This workshop will be a gateway to our Fall semester class "Social Innovation Capstone Project II: Social IoT" part of the “Social Innovator Certificate Curriculum.”
Objective
Provide students with the following opportunities:
(1) Deep understanding and critical thinking of social issues within the context of IoT
(2) Planning and creating a new product/service to solve social challenges through IoT
What to expect
1. Learn how to use IoT devices
2. Learn how to solve a problem using IoT from faculty
3. Have an opportunity to conduct field research using the cutting edge technologies of IoT and to build a model for a solution to social problems as an interdisciplinary team.

*Complementary accommodation will be available at Yonsei International Campus Dormitory.
Eligibility
The program is open to all major-declared students of the Techno-Art Division or Integrated Social Sciences Division of Underwood International College.
