New Changes at Underwood International College
Introducing Relocations of the UIC Offices
Beginning March, 2017, three separate UIC Offices are now newly opened for UD Office, HASS Office, and ISE Office.
As witnessed, UIC went through an exponential growth in terms of size and structure. In an effort to best meet the changing demands of UIC’s rapid growth, the UIC Office put significant effort to reform the current office structure for more efficient administrative services. Our new offices, UD Office (Sinchon); HASS Office, ISED Office (Songdo) will be served as an one-stop hub for students and faculty members in each field respectively. From now on, directly contact or visit each field’s office as listed below, to make any inquiries about academic affairs, student services, scholarship, faculty recruitment, and faculty affairs.

Introducing Our New UIC Website
Check out our new UIC website renewed in January, 2017. Following is the newly implemented changes you can explore:
1. New website is a user-friendly response type that can be easily viewed in your smartphones.
Our previous website was difficult to view from your smartphones or tablet PCs as the screen remained in the PC mode. New mobile-friendly webpage will give easier and greater accessibility for all users.
2. New website is an efficient online platform to enhance global promotion of UIC.
Our new website begins with a four minute video clip that contains images of our campus, students, and faculty members. Integrating a video clip in the intro page gives a brief overview of our college (exclusions applied to regions that Youtube is prohibited) and additionally, from the NEWS and Events tab, users can easily check out the various ongoing events at UIC.
3. Added and new features found in the UIC website.
Previous numerous menu tabs and unnecessary menus have been removed and the existing contents were edited to highlight the important information about UIC. The menu depth was largely reduced from five consecutive menus down to only three clicks at most. Also, frequently visited pages can be found in the main webpage. Moreover, the faculty profile page was systematically reorganized and a new feature that can check out the latest faculty publication is now added. To maximize the user’s convenience, ‘search’ button was created while direct links to UIC’s social network links can be also found.
4. The content description of each menu tab is as follows:
1) ABOUT: Introduction of UIC and Yonsei University, UIC Office, Timeline of UIC and Campus Location
2) MAJORS AND CURRICULUM: 16 Majors, Common Curriculum and Korean Minor
3) ACADEMICS: UIC Faculty, Academic Regulations, Academic Calendar, Academic Advising, Study Abroad, UIC-Exclusive Programs and Career Development Center
4) ADMISSIONS: Why UIC, How to Apply, Tuition and Financial Support, Information for Intl’ Admittees and FAQ
5) STUDENT LIFE: Campuses, Housing, Health and Counseling, Festivals and Student Organizations
6) NEWS AND EVENTS: Academic Affairs, Student Services, Careers, Event, UIC News, Publications and Newsletter
