2018 UIC Counselor Workshop
From December 16th to 19th 2018, Underwood International College invited 10 counselors from China, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam to 2018 Underwood International College Counselor Workshop. Every year, UIC hosts an inbound counselor workshop to introduce UIC’s four-year undergraduate degree program to high school officers and college counselors across the globe. This year, counselors from Dulwich College Shanghai, SMAK 1 Penabur Jakarta, Global Jaya School, Ruamrudee International School, Chu Van An National High School for the Gifted, and Hanoi Foreign Language Specialized School participated in the workshop.
The workshop took place in both International and Sinchon Campus (Seoul), and the counselors had the opportunity to learn about UIC in depth. The workshop began with the information session and the campus tour which allowed counselors to have the general overview of UIC ranging from the Common Curriculum and majors to admissions. During the campus tour, the counselors not only had the chance to learn about Yonsei’s history but also had the chance to visit students’ dormitory and get a sense of students’ life in Yonsei. The counselors also enjoyed the lunch with UIC faculty and students which was a great opportunity to interact with and to listen to students’ firsthand experience.
The educational goal at UIC is to bring students together from diverse backgrounds and to teach them a liberal arts education for international minds at Korea’s most internationalized higher education institution. Continuing Yonsei University’s 134 years of academic excellence, UIC promises to provide the best international undergraduate program in the Asia-Pacific region.
