Social Innovation Workshop Series XIV: Impact Investing

Through the Social Innovation Workshop Series (SIWS), the Yonsei Center for Social Innovation invites field experts from various fields of expertise, who are actively trying to improve society and who can answer questions and give advice to students about the process of identifying social problems and creating innovative and effective solutions.

Our speaker, Taeun Kwon is the head of Private Banking Programs at the Center for Sustainable Finance and Private wealth, affiliated with the University of Zurich, Switzerland. She is the co-founder of Walkie GmbH, a startup in the pet care industry in Berlin, Germany. She worked as the project manager for Impact Square, the largest social enterprise consultancy located in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Ms. Kwon is also a lecturer at the University of St. Gallen, University of Zurich and Zurich-Harvard Exec Ed Program.

Ms. Kwon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Seoul National University and a Master of Arts in Strategy and International Management from the University of St. Gallen (HSG), Switzerland.

At the fourteenth Social Innovation Workshop series, Ms. Kwon will be delivering a special lecture on impact investing, emphasizing on the contributions that we, as individuals, can make to the world while making a profit. The objective of this lecture is to reflect on the opportunities of impact investing and to help understand the current opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
