About C Program
C Program is a Venture Philanthropy Fund that invests in social achievement in place of financial performance for the next generation. By focusing on the keywords 'Play', 'Education', and 'Opportunity', C Program supports and cooperates with individuals and organisations, fostering an environment that cultivates creativity of the next generation. C Program manages the Play Fund and the Learning Fund.
PLAY FUND
The Play Fund invests in play spaces located within daily living spaces. Starting with remodeling playgrounds in Jungnang-gu, Play Fund has set up and operates spaces such as the Geumho-dong's local art museum and Imun-dong's children studio. Through its work in managing research and forums about playgrounds and play spaces, the Play Fund also supports early childhood education through the 'A Night under the Foot of a Dinosaur' camp by the Seodaemun Natural History Museum, and the summer camp "Earth-Loving Investigation Team" by Children Science Magazine.
LEARNING FUND
The Learning Fund invests in individuals and organisations drawing up a blueprint for future education through innovation. It cooperates closely with teachers and educators both in and out of school, investing in the student-centered experiences and systems as well as focusing on opportunities of education focusing on diversity and special interests. The representative project is 'Flipped Campus', which is established by the Future Classroom Network. This is an implementation of a new type of class model by a group of teachers, where students can learn by their own efforts and solve problems with their friends.
Job Description: Research Intern
C Program is looking for a Research Intern to work on the Play Fund. The Play Fund identifies certain positive effects of daily living spaces on children by investing in children studios and art musueums designed for young children. Besides early childhood education, Play Fund also plans to design new daily-living spaces (Teen lab, Teen studio, etc.) for older children by 2018.
The Research Intern will collect foreign youth space cases that can be used as reference in planning the space for youth, derive insights and data, and organise these information. The Research Intern will also work on turning collected data into specific content so that a wider audience would understand the relevance of these spaces.
Responsibilities include:
Through this internship, the student is expected to gain:
Internship Period: April 2018 - June 2018 (three months; work period can be extended depending on the nature of progress)
Part-Time Work: Twenty (20)-hours per week
Description: The intern can work remotely, with one day per week (four hours) on-site in the office
Location: 4F, 20 Wangsimni-ro 2gil, Seondong-gu, Seoul 04779, Korea
Qualifications and Competencies
The applicant must also be interested and have an insight in space development, and understands the importance of healthy growth of the next generation through the keywords of "creativity" and "play".
Eligibility
Students must satisfy the following conditions to be eligible to apply for this internship opportunity:
※ Students must have already declared their major on Yonsei Portal.
※ Taking classes in a major or planning to take a major/double-major will not satisfy this requirement.
2. The student must have completed at least two semesters before applying for the internship
3. The student must have taken classes during the Fall 2017 semester (not on a leave of absence)
4. The Spring 2018 semester must not be the student's final semester
5. The student must be enrolled in the Social Innovator Certificate Program

6. Scholarship recipients must declare the scholarship amount attained during the Spring 2018 semester (Refer to the Payment Section below)
Payment
The Yonsei Center for Social Innovation will pay the interns instead of C Program, with payment being made in the form of a scholarship transferred to the student’s account on Yonsei Portal at the end of the internship period.
※ WARNING: Laws prohibit the payment of a scholarship that exceeds the recipient’s college tuition fees. It is imperative that the student mentions whether he or she has received any scholarship in the resume. It must also state the type, amount, and source. Yonsei Center for Social Innovation and Underwood International College, Yonsei University will take no responsibility for any situation where a scholarship cannot be granted because the candidate provided false or incomplete information. It is the onus of the candidate to check his or her own eligibility and notify the Yonsei Center for Social Innovation if there are any discrepancies or inconsistencies in financial undertakings.
Post-Internship Requirements
Interns will be required to submit at the end of their internship:
- A short Internship Report Form
- “Internship Results”, a free-format production that best describes the intern’s experience and/or achievement
