Welcome to the Yonsei Center for Social Innovation at Underwood International College, Yonsei University
Funded by the Korean Ministry of Education’s University for Creative Korea project, the Yonsei Center for Social Innovation at the Yonsei International Campus aims to become the premier institute that empowers undergraduates to develop meaningful social impacts. We encourage our students to find simple solutions to improve their daily lives, and inspire them to add value to society by solving social problems on the global level.

We encourage our students to find simple solutions to improve their daily lives, and inspire them to add value to society by solving social problems on the global level.
While social innovation may appear through social entrepreneurship, public policy initiatives, and community movements, true social change can only be achieved through the mutual cooperation of differing agencies. Trust-building initiatives create truly viable partnerships, and these form the basis of connections that enable us to achieve our common goals. Every individual has a stake in the well-being of the wider community, making it necessary for all students to exercise sound stewardship through community contributions in order to make a difference. Making returns through social impacts rather than monetary profits is our highest priority, but we also encourage the formation of a creative culture of entrepreneurship and fiscal responsibility for achieving sustainable solutions.
At the Yonsei Center for Social Innovation, we bring together the best faculty and notable industry partners to develop multiple pathways for our students to acquire the necessary skills and master the tools necessary for solving complex social challenges. We seed social development projects formulated by the students of Underwood International College, Yonsei University to build new capabilities in social innovation. As we progress, we seek to partner with external agencies, multinational companies, and other organizations, to promote innovation excellence and exchange best practices in the field of social development.
