Yonsei Center for Social Innovation (YCSI) provides students with a range of extra-curricular activities dedicated to inspiring innovations that help build a better world. Such activities @ YCSI consist of the following programs and more:
- Social Innovation Consulting Competition
- The Social Innovation Consulting Competition aims to equip students with the skills, tools, and the network to solve social challenges. Students will work on a social issue of their choice either by consulting an existing organization or creating a new product or service. The Challenge consists of a bootcamp, a networking night, mentoring sessions with social innovators, and final pitch day.
- Social Innovation Workshop
- The Yonsei Social Innovation Challenge Workshop is a 4-day intensive workshop that provides students with the opportunity to plan, design, and implement solutions to social challenges. Students will identify a social issue of their choice, brainstorm possible ideas, design, and ultimately create a prototype of the proposed solution. Hosted by YCSI and Underwood International College, Yonsei University, this workshop consists of special lectures, working sessions, and a final pitch day.
- Social Leadership Weekend with Python
- Students participate in 3-day intensive programming session using Python focusing on public and statistical data analysis for social innovation and value creation.
- Global Innovation Tour
- Students who have strong interest in social innovation and global entrepreneurship are taken on a tour abroad with visits to universities, firms, and NGOs that are leading the world with creative approaches to social innovation. Students have the opportunity to meet with experienced professionals working in the top companies and organizations, and their journey is documented in a formal publication issued by YCSI.
