The Design Factory Global Network(www.dfgn.org ) is a community of universities and research centers disseminated among 20 countries aiming to set the way toward a new educational paradigm based on an inter-disciplinary approach to engineering, design and business.
Each year the network hosts conferences in a different country among its network members: 2014 Australia, 2015 Chile, 2016 Switzerland, 2017 Korea, and February 2018 Portugal.
During the week-long stay at the Porto Design Factory(www.pdf.ipp.pt) the students selected to represent Design Factory Korea will be asked to work with students from the Instituto Politecnico do Porto in groups of 3~4 and work on solutions to problems European social enterprises are faced with.
Time: February 18(Sun)-24(Sat) 2018

Participants Number: 10-12 students.
Comprehensive Delegation Costs: 600,000 won/student
Eligibility
The program is open to Techno-Art Division and Integrated Social Sciences Division students in the Social Innovator Certificate Program.
* Students who are in their final semester are not eligible.

Non ISSD/TAD students in the Social Innovator Certificate Program can apply as well should they fulfill the following requirements.
(1) HASS students who are to join a TAD or ISSD major must sign and submit a pledge(attachment 2) vowing to major in ISSD or TAD, the violation of this pledge resulting in the student returning all funds used by the Yonsei Center for Social Innovation in supporting the student’s travels and activities abroad.
(2) UD/ASD/ISED students must be double-majoring in a TAD/ISSD major, provide proof of the double major from the Yonsei Portal, and sign a pledge(attachment 3) vowing to finish the double major, failure of which resulting in student returning all funds used by the Yonsei Center for Social Innovation in supporting the student’s travels and activities abroad.
Application
One of the best parts of this trip is that much of the costs of the program are subsidized by Social Impact Initiative for Global Creative Talent.

Selection Criteria
The applicant should have strong interest in social innovation and problem solving activities.
Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team are also crucial.
