The Global Hope Scholarship program aims to support international students from developing countries studying in Korea to become future leaders who can contribute to the society. The foundation selects students recommended by partner universities(Underwood International College) to become Global Hope Scholars. We are looking for university students from developing countries who can lead their own countries' development together with the foundation.
1. Qualifications
A. Non-Korean international students from nationality of a country in the DAC List of ODA Recipients
B. Students experiencing financial difficulties for study
C. 1st/2nd year UIC Students who have proven academic excellence of Cumulative GPA of 3.75(on 4.3 scale) or higher OR Admissions Scholarship recipients
※ GPA for 2025 Spring must be included. (Available from July 9th)
D. 1st/2nd year UIC Students who have proven academic excellence of at least TOPIK Level 2
E. Students who are willing to join volunteer activities and other activities hosted by the foundation
※ Students planning for studying abroad are therefore, not eligible.
※ Applicants for the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) degree programs are not eligible to apply.
2. Amount: 4,800,000 KRW/semester
3. Application schedule
A. Application deadline: July 18th, 2025 in KST
B. Document review result: July 30th, 2025
C. Interview: Around Aug. 21st~25th, 2025
D. Final result: Around Sept. 1st, 2025
