A prism, flat and transparent, is universally known for its ability to refract a spectrum of light. Prism X, UIC’s art and technology club, does just that. Prism X members come from a wide array of backgrounds, acting as mentors and students in fields such as video production, graphic design, and traditional theatre.
This semester, Prism X revamping the club directive to the world of theatre. Our members will act as writers, actors, directors, dancers, stage managers, and whatever their skillset allows them to contribute to our plan to create a play or skit by the end of the year.
Our main two goals this semester are 1) for active members to hold improvisation shows and get the word out about a new English Theatre Troupe in UIC 2) to prepare financially and pragmatically for the production that we wish to hold by the end of the year.

This student club aims to provide students who are interested in culture and arts with a chance to expand their experience. We will go to various exhibitions that promote diverse concepts and themes and have time to share our reviews after the activities. Since exhibitions are open only for a limited time, we want opportunities to reflect on them even after the show is over. Therefore, we invented an activity called archiving, in which we write about the times when we visited the exhibitions with the photos and share such memories with others on Facebook.
