Prof Mateja Kovacic is hiring a Faculty TA to help with her two courses: Science, Technology, and Popular Culture; and Science of Symbiosis and Multispecies Cultures. 

In addition to helping with the courses, the TA will also help with the research project on the history of science in Tokugawa-period Japan. Other support may include help with the organisation of guest lectures. 

 Duties:

• TA will support the courses administratively (attendance, arrangement of examinations, uploading and distributing course materials, etc.)
• The research support may include survey and acquisition of the relevant literature, finding sources, help with the bibliography, etc. 
• Mateja is happy to discuss with the TA their needs and interests and provide opportunities for guidance and training in the areas that the student wishes to develop (e.g., particular discipline, research methodology, academic writing, etc.

Requirement:

• TA should have knowledge of Humanities and Social Sciences subjects
• Asian Studies major and/or interest is a plus
• Knowledge of Korean and Japanese is a plus
• Interest and/or experience in anthropology, history, cultural studies is a plus
