Guide to Applying for AI Concentration Major

for the 2023 Fall Semester

1. What is the AI Concentration Major Program?

The AI Concentration Major Program is a comprehensive program centered around AI education. It is a specialized AI convergence education program implemented through various courses tailored to each major's characteristics. We encourage students interested in the main major + AI concentration to apply for this program.

 2. Eligibility

Students affiliated with departments where the AI Concentration Major is offered, who can fulfill the graduation requirements for the AI Concentration Major.

 3. UIC AI Concentration Major Eligible Departments

CLC, ECON, PSIR,LSBT, CDM, CTM, IID, QRM, STP, NSE, EESE, BC

 4. Schedule and Application Process

   a. Application Period: From June 22, 2023 (Thursday) 9:00 to July 7, 2023 (Friday) 17:00.
   b. Application Process:
        - Step 1: Log in to the Yonsei Portal Service (http://portal.yonsei.ac.kr), go to Academic Portal System - Student Records - Access the AI Concentration Major Application.
        - Step 2: Confirm the desired major and write a statement of purpose, career aspirations, and academic plan before applying.
   c. Announcement of Approval Results: Scheduled for July 31, 2023 (Monday).

         * Write 500 to 2000 characters for each item (application motivation, academic plan)
         * If you cancel after applying, the contents of the academic plan will be deleted

 5. Other Information

   a. It is possible to apply for the AI Concentration Major in addition to a double major.
   b. Students approved for the AI Concentration Major must fulfill the requirements of the major to graduate (or complete) with the AI Concentration Major.
   c. Students selected for the AI Concentration Major and who fulfill the designated major credits set by each department will be awarded a degree indicating the major name + AI Concentration Major.
