The UIC office is looking for student peer mentors who can help operate the Fall 2023 UIC Global Seminar.

The UIC Global Seminar is a comprehensive orientation program designed to prepare international students for the first college semester in a new country. It is a great opportunity to welcome new international students and assist them with their transition. If you are interested, please fill out the Google application form below by July 30^th, 2023.

Your Role

- Preparing a presentation about a given topic for new students

- Hosting a small group discussion

- Brainstorming details of the program with other peer mentors

- Responding to inquiries from new students and connecting them with relevant staffers or professors

What You Need to Know

- The program is scheduled for August 30^th to 31^st from 10 am to 5 pm on the International Campus.

- There will be an online mentor orientation scheduled at 7:30 pm on Monday, August 7^th. Your participation is mandatory.

- Peer mentors will be provided with an hourly wage based on the number of hours committed to the program.
