Congratulations on your graduation! Please refer to the following information regarding the commencement ceremony, and please attend the honorable graduation from Yonsei University and celebrate your academic achievements.

▣ Graduation Ceremony
   A. Date & Time: August 25(Fri), 11am
   B. Venue: Main Auditorium (대강당)

▣ Graduation Gown and Cap Distribution& Return
   A. Dates: August 21(Mon) ~ 25(Fri)
   B. Time: 10:00 AM ~ 4:00 PM
   C. Venue: Room 203, Daewoo Hall Annex (대우관별관), Sinchon Campus
   * Both the distribution & return will be on the above date, time and venue.
   D. [Important] Things to bring   
      1) Your Yonsei student ID card
           * If you don't have your plastic Yonsei ID card,
              - You may show your mobile ID card, OR
               - The certificate of (expected) graduation + an identification card with your photo (Driver License, ARC, etc)
      2) Library book return confirmation letter (if you have unreturned books to the library)  
      3) Participation in the August 2023 Graduates Survey (https://forms.gle/ZEQorut4Dq5d4eEaA) 

           * We can check whether you participated in the survey with your student ID no.
           * If someone else is picking up for you, please send a request to uic_services@yonsei.ac.kr for representative pick up include details(name, student ID or date of birth) for both student and representative .  The representative must show D. 1)~2)
      4) Gown laundry/storage fee: Free for UIC students
     *Don’t have to pay through Yonse portal since UIC is paying for the graduates
   E. Graduation Gown and Cap Return
      1) You must return the graduation gown and the cap by August 25 (Fri) at 4:00 p.m. Otherwise, issuance of your certificates will temporarily be suspended.
   F. Answers to the Graduation Gown FAQs
      1) Rental period: No restriction during August 21 ~25 (You can borrow  it on the first day of rental and return it on the last day)
      2) The graduation gown and cap can be borrowed and returned only once.
      3) It is not possible to borrow a graduation gown before or after the available dates above
      4) Non graduating students, cannot borrow a graduation gown until one’s graduation.

▣ Graduation Album Distribution
    A. Dates: August 21(Mon), 22(Tue), 23(Wed), 24(Thu), 25(Fri)  *Weekday only
    B. Time: 09:30AM ~ 4:30 PM
    C. Venue: Rm 204, Student Union Building(학생회관 204호),  Sinchon Campus
    D. Things to bring: Your student ID card
          * If someone else is picking up for you, the person must show your student ID card.

▣ Entering the Ceremony

Graduates should gather in front of the auditorium and receive guidance from the faculty by 10:30 AM on the day of the Commencement ceremony.

*The entrance to the 1st floor of the auditorium will be controlled from the beginning of the ceremony. We ask for graduates' cooperation.

▣ Degree Conferral Procedure

[Bachelor's and Master's Degrees]

a. When the representative for degree conferral goes up on the stage, all graduates with the corresponding degrees should stand up.

b. As the representative receives the degree certificate from the president and turns around to move the tassel from right to left, the graduates should move their tassels from right to left simultaneously.

c. After the representative comes down from the stage, graduates can take their seats.

a. When their names are called, graduates should stand up.

▣  Returning the Caps and Gowns, and Issuance of Graduation Certificates

a. Please return the caps and gowns by 4:30 PM on August 25, 2023 (Friday) and receive your "Graduation Certificate."

b. Please note that if you fail to return on time, the issuance of the certificate will be suspended.

▣ Others

Due to the congestion of traffic in the Sinchon area and within the campus on the day of the Commencement Ceremony, we strongly recommend using public transportation.
