The maximum of four outstanding UIC students will be selected to join the program consisting of: lectures in English on Japanese culture, society, and environment; Japanese language classes (a placement test will be given); and online field trips and other activities with students from Kyoto University and other participating universities. Participants will benefit from the scholarly excellence at Kyoto University and direct interactions with students from top schools in East Asia and Europe. Although this program cannot grant UIC credits, Kyoto University will provide participants with certificates upon successful completion. This is a prestigious program that can be included on students’ CVs.
