Social Innovation through Makerspaces Idea Contest

Apply to suggest your innovation solution to tackle challenges in education, decent work, and climate change through the newly created i7 makerspace at Yonsei University.

○ Eligibility for application:
- At least one of the team members should be Yonsei UIC student (Or the individual)
- A maximum of 5 members per team

○ Contest details:
- The contest is looking for new ideas to promote social innovation in the city of Incheon through the use of Makerspaces
- The participant should present an idea to solve social problems in the city of Incheon

○ Sectors:
- The participants should choose one of the following three SDGs problems:
- How can Makerspaces facilitate:
1) Promotion of full and productive employment and decent work for all (SDG8)
2) Inclusive and equitable quality education (SDG4)
3) Urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts (SDG13)?

○ Application method:
- The participants should present their ideas in a PPT with no more than 10 slides, it should be sent to (haksong_lim@yonsei.ac.kr) through email
- The PPT should be written in English

○ Scholarship awards:
- 1st place: 500,000 won
- 2nd place: 200,000 won
- 3rd place: i7 Maker program participation
(Including 8.8% taxes)

○ Contest calendar:
- First version of the proposal should be sent: 9th Nov~ 18th Nov
- First round results will be announced: 20th Nov
- Mentoring session: 23th Nov ~ 26th Nov
- Final presentation and award ceremony: 27th Nov
